The FA Girls Game of Our Own Programme are incredibly excited to tell you about the Game of Our Own training that has been lined up for you this term. If you are a school who is part of an FA Girls’ Football School Partnership – supported by Barclays access to the programme is completely free.

Using football as the vehicle, Game of Our Own is a programme to support secondary school teachers to explore how to engage girls in curriculum PE through an innovative life skills approach. The programme also has a leadership element designed to recruit and support girls to deliver peer led and designed extra-curricular football opportunities to other girls in the school, as well as some fantastic digital resources and videos.

To find out more about the programme pathway and the benefits to your school – check out our detailed guide here.

In year one of the programme, and available to book and access now is Game of Our Own – Teacher.

The training is a blended approach, with virtual training this term followed by face to face later in the year. All sessions will be delivered by YST tutors and FA PE team staff.

Each school who attends the training will receive physical resource cards, which link to the digital video content available and on completion of the course teachers also receive an equipment pack including Nike balls, bibs and cones.

Take a look at the course timetable and book now using the link provided.

All the GOOO digital resources and videos are available to view and download on www.girlsfootballinschools.org and why not take a quick peek now at this short video commentated by Football Pundit and Lioness Legend Sue Smith!

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact your FA Girls’ Football School Partnership – supported by Barclays strategic lead.
