National Schools Physical Activity and Well Being survey – for your school

Posted By : Paul

We want your school to get involved in a pupil Physical Activity and Well Being survey.

This will have a huge impact on the partnerships work going forward, as we will be able to see where our programmes will provide the best impact. It will provide you with lots of data and evidence for Sports Premium and Ofsted as well as the impact of Covid and information on your pupils’ wellbeing. The survey will take less than 15 mins per class and give you a wealth of data to make a real positive impact on your pupils. This will also allow you as PE leads, and us as a School Sport Partnership, to have an impact on whole school priorities.

The survey is made up of a maximum of 10 questions depending on year group (younger years have fewer questions). These cover the following topics.

  1. Which activities pupils would like to try
  2. How active pupils are
  3. Which pupils have / have not competed for their school team
  4. Who wants to be a sports leader
  5. Who can and cannot meet the national guidelines for swimming
  6. Nutritional knowledge
  7. Transition worries
  8. Resilience
  9. Well-being
  10. Support – someone to talk too

If you would like to view the survey, please click on the below which is a test account.

https://www.koboca.co.uk/primary-pupil-activity-well-being-survey-2021/?q=86b21f0a&s=419f6073

To take part, login to your Koboca account and select the ‘My Surveys’ tab at the top*. In the national survey section you will see a survey called PRIMARY – PUPIL ACTIVITY &WELL-BEING SURVEY 2021.

*if you still need to register on Koboca take a look here for info

The most efficient way for pupils to complete the survey is to click the ‘Copy Link’ button and paste the link into a shared area for pupils to click on to answer the questions.

I can also send you your unique schools hyperlink that will take you straight to the survey – ALL schools will need to have registered with Koboca before they can access the survey tool!

REPORTS

Once pupils start completing the survey, you will be able to view your schools results straight away, in real time down to name level. Eg you will see the names of the pupils who would like to get involved with sports leadership, or what is the most popular after school club.It is great evidence for pupil voice.

As a partnership, we will see the headline figures for all schools. NO NAMES OR INDIVIDUAL PUPIL DATA WILL EVER LEAVE YOUR SCHOOL ACCOUNT!!

You can view how reports work in this short 4-minute tutorial. https://youtu.be/qZwMTFBCqBg

This survey will make support you, and us, in planning and to ensure work is more focused this year and that we have the maximum impact on the pupils in your school. The results will help us all provide suitable programmes for your school and its community. Please keep all your collagues in the loop such as, PE Leads, Healthy Schools and Mental Health Leads.

If you require any further information, please don’t hesitate to contact Chris at c.bland@wrightrobinson.co.uk .

We would appreciate it if schools couldcomplete the survey before Friday 15th October to allow us to plan and have the greatest impact.
