Boys Year 5/6 Football League Format:

• Teams may be comprised of boys only or mixed gender, from Y5 and or Y6
• 9 a-side games on a small sided pitch – you may have to contact your local secondary school in order to utilise one of their pitches, if you do not have access to one of your own
• Teams will play each other once during the season – venue and fixture date will be negotiated by the 2 opponents
• The offside rule does not have to be administered during the league games. However, if both teams agree it is better to administer it – it will be in operation for the play-offs
Refereeing responsibility will also be negotiated between the opponents – schools may wish to ask their local secondary school to provide a Young Official for the fixture
• For the play-offs, the home team will be expected to appoint, and pay for, a neutral referee as their opponents will have travel costs
• All results will be sent to me and I will display all the results on the website
• At the end of the season there will be a play-off between the winners from each ‘zone’, with medals for the eventual winners and runners-up
